The 138th China Import and Export Fair
The first phase of the 138th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) successfully concluded on October 19. Our company exhibited semi-finished and finished fluoroplastics and engineering plastics, including our core products such as PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), Nylon, and UHMW-PE (ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene), achieving remarkable results.

What are the structural characteristics of a skeletal seal?
The cylindrical shape of the oil seal’s outer surface ensures a static seal for the internal cavity. The rubber outer edge of the internal metal skeleton, together with the exposed edges of the metal skeleton, are designed for skeletal sealing. Most applications require polishing and electroplating with anti-corrosion coatings. The twisted spring-loaded sealing lip accommodates shaft movement, while the enhanced structural design of the sealing lip improves the stability of the static seal, thereby enhancing overall sealing performance.

Characteristics of PTFE Gaskets in Practical Applications
During practical application, PTFE gaskets have no adverse effects on human health or the environment, making them a highly safe material. They can be widely used in a variety of environments, consistently delivering superior performance and functionality. The specific characteristics and manufacturing processes of PTFE gaskets in practical use will be described in detail.
What should be done to address problems that arise with polytetrafluoroethylene?
Polytetrafluoroethylene has a relatively low surface energy and weak interfacial adhesion, which means that during bonding it is difficult to achieve adequate wetting of the PTFE surface. This results in poor adhesion—a fact that must be acknowledged. To overcome this challenge, the formulation of the adhesive system needs to be modified accordingly.

What fields are high-temperature-resistant silicone sealing strips used in?
In today’s silicone products industry, high-temperature-resistant silicone sealing strips are commonly used in a wide range of industrial applications. In everyday life, sealing materials have become one of the indispensable components.

What are the applications of PTFE gaskets?
PTFE gaskets are wear-resistant materials; however, pure PTFE is relatively soft. To enhance their wear resistance, different manufacturers have developed various formulations incorporating additives for modification. The so-called filled PTFE gaskets are typically made from such modified materials. In fluid machinery—such as pumps, compressors, agitators, and centrifuges—the PTFE gasket is often the component subjected to the most severe operating conditions.

Four Factors That Compromise the Sealing Performance of PTFE Gaskets
The PTFE gasket is manufactured by uniformly dispersing high-purity graphite and glass fiber—both inorganic fillers—into a PTFE matrix, followed by processing. Its multidirectional fibrous structure provides exceptional resistance to solvent attack, eliminates cold flow and stress relaxation, and ensures reliable sealing over the long term. External factors such as deformation of pipeline components can adversely affect the seal; in particular, vibration can cause cyclic variations in the clamping force between the sealing surfaces, ultimately leading to seal failure.
